The Editor's Address (not personal)

Can you believe it? It is actually halfway through the year already! Are you shooting up the scoreboard, and venturing well? If yes, congrats :D Keep going! If not, it is okay, after all, it is just a Risk game :D Aim higher, if you are trying to achieve something. Take risks (we are all risk takers aren't we?), and when you see an opportunity, use it. It is either you or someone else who will take out that Risk player, why not take the chance? Hope you guys are going well in life. I am always happy for a chat if you want to share, release from your mind etc (and yes, we need a lot more readers' feedbacks, so please put them in) Anyway, enjoy the coming month, and remember statistic shows that: 3 out of 2 people have trouble with fractions.

Cheerio people, KFD

Chapter I - Vaporize "Are you more significant than a wave tossed in the ocean?" "Hey! Watch it!" I shouted and retaliated with a splash twice as massive. The sea breeze floated past me, refreshing my mind. Every once in awhile, we need to get away from the bustle of life and enjoy the world as it is. The white sand that lines the shores slipped through my hand, each grain falling until none remained on my palm. They vaporized like my worries, and immediately I lost track of which grain fell from my hand and which didn't, yet it didn't matter, none were mine to worry over anymore. Another splash came upon me, soaking me from head to feet and cutting my train of thought. "OK, that's it!" I ran towards my attacker and tackled her down. We laughed in our playfulness. A wave washed onto shore once more, as a few more friends approached. "Hello, lovebirds." Clara greeted. "Hey!" Kiani and I replied, with an unintentional togetherness. "You guys are such a pair!" Alexon added. I consciously got off Kiani and patted myself down to rid myself of sand. Kiani also stood up, blushed. Clara and Alexon giggled. "It takes one to know one! Why did you come together?" I argued in countenance. They were immediately silenced. I smiled. "Save your breath." Kiani laughed in a delightful way, as always, "You can never win an argument against him." “One day,” I said, “You might have a chance…” My mind drifted as I look towards the sea. “Is Esther coming?” “Why don’t we walk to her house, and see if she is ready since we are going towards that side of town anyway?” Alexon suggested. “She is never late.” Clara rendered, “Let’s check on her.” Kiani and I took the lead, and we headed off.

Knocking for the second time, I was starting to get nervous. “Maybe we passed Esther without noticing.” Kiani said. “But Esther definitely won’t pass us without noticing us – there are four of us here!” I talked hastily. “Slow down and think. Where would her family have gone?” Alexon asked. “I think the question here is ‘where have the people in this neighbourhood gone?’ – the whole street seems too quiet.” Clara glanced down both sides of the street, and commented, “It is deserted.” As we fell silent, I could feel cold air sprinting down the stone paved road. I shivered. And a shiver is never a good sign. “What is it, Marv?” Kiani must be seeing my fear. I didn’t answer but instinctively drew my pair of swords. Kiani followed, and soon after, all four of us were armed. I saw dust waved up at the other end of the street. I prepared to fight. A mess of footsteps became audible. “They are not enemies,” I said to my companions. “They are the people from this street, I think.” Kiani speculated. As the figures among the approaching crowd turned prominent, we all knew almost for certain the message they came with. "She’s missing."
